The OppAttune – Scientific Coordinator Prof. Kesi Mahendran and Dr Anthony English at The Open University recently took part in filming with BBC Morning Live, working alongside documentary filmmaker Zara McDermott. This collaboration marks an important step in bringing academic research into public conversations.

The filming focused on making complex social issues more accessible to a wider audience, with the team contributing insights from their work on identity, dialogue, and democratic engagement. The experience highlighted the value of connecting research with real-world storytelling.
We look forward to sharing more when the segment airs. In the meantime, you can explore our work and interactive tools at Morning Live (Psychology topics) | An OU/BBC co-production | BBC Partnership. Stay tuned!
